To: Long term care facilities Telligen's October Office Hour event with Dr. Nimalie Stone Straight from the CDC: CMS Implements Stricter COVID Testing Requirements Starting August 26th, 2020 When: October 15th, 2020 1pm MT / 2pm CT We are pleased to announce that Dr. Nimalie Stone from the CDC will be presenting for Telligen’s interactive LTC Office Hours on Thursday, October 15th, to review the current CMS guidance related to testing requirements for nursing homes and clinical laboratories. During this interactive Office Hours participants will learn more about the current testing regulations and the required reporting processes. Dr. Stone and participants will share best practices to achieve success with these requirements to prevent and manage the spread of COVID-19 in nursing homes.  Dr. Stone is the Team Lead for Long-term Care for the Prevention and Response Branch within CDC’s Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion. She is a board-certified infectious disease physician with over 10 years of experience developing surveillance and quality improvement projects to track and prevent infections and antibiotic resistant pathogens in post-acute and long-term care settings. In her role at CDC, Dr. Stone oversees the development of guidance, educational resources, and implementation tools to support infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship activities in nursing homes.
