The Division of Workers’ Compensation Offers Support to Avoid Fines, Protect Employees, and Save Money

 

To: All Healthcare Entities in Colorado From: The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DOWC) Recent investigations into the healthcare industry reveal an opportunity to help these employers avoid fines, protect employees, and save money. Inpatient health facilities have the highest incidence of workplace injuries out of any type of workplace in the country, with several other healthcare segments ranking near the top. The DOWC is invested in proactively empowering Colorado employers to achieve compliance and reduce insurance premiums. Educational resources and direct support are available. Any business with employees operating in Colorado is required to carry workers’ compensation insurance.
