Curative Holiday Testing Schedule

To: Residential care facilities (skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, group homes, intermediate care facilities)

From: HFEMSD Residential Care Strike Team

The upcoming holiday season will have an impact on UPS deliveries for Curative Lab testing.
  • UPS will run on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, so samples will be received by the lab on those days. For pickups on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, UPS will deliver them the day after Christmas and New Year’s Day as long as Saturday pickup is checked on the sample delivery.
  • A sample picked up on Christmas Eve would be delivered by UPS on Saturday, Dec. 26. All samples collected on Dec. 26 would be delivered on Monday, Dec. 28 as normal for Saturday pickups. The same schedule applies to New Year’s Eve.
Normal courier options will be available on all days as long as pickups can be coordinated. Curative log planners will be working with field operations teams to meet the Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve pickup/delivery schedule.

Please consider these closures when planning your testing over the next few weeks. Additionally, send test samples as soon as possible after they have been conducted. This allows for more timely and accurate test results.
