6 CCR 1015-4 - Statewide Emergency Medical and Trauma Care System, Chapter Three - Designation of Trauma Facilities, Stakeholder Engagement Announcement

 

To: Licensed Hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, Freestanding Emergency Departments, and Community Clinics   From: HFEMSD   The Department is excited to announce that it is convening a stakeholder engagement process to review, reorganize, and update 6 CCR 1015-4 - Statewide Emergency Medical and Trauma Care Systems, Chapter Three - Designation of Trauma Facilities (Trauma Chapter 3). This update of Trauma Chapter Three will run concurrently with planned updates to our health facility chapter at 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 4 – General Hospitals, and will also incorporate recent facility-related statutory changes. All hospitals offering emergency services, free-standing emergency departments, and community clinics providing emergency services are required to participate in the trauma system and are regulated by Trauma Chapter Three, and thus have an interest in this update. Stakeholder engagement is integral to the Department’s effort to align Trauma Chapter Three with hospital facility care and requirements. All interested parties are invited to attend our stakeholder meetings either in-person at the Department or online via Zoom. To ensure that you receive notice of all meetings related to the update of 6 CCR 1015-4, Chapter 3, please sign up for the Trauma Chapter Three mailing list. Notice of each Trauma Chapter Three meeting will be emailed directly to interested parties and sent via the Division’s portal messaging system one to two weeks before each meeting. Meeting details, including agendas and proposed rule language, will be available before each meeting in the public Google folder dedicated to this rulemaking.
