1:00 - 1:40 PM Review Federal and State Emergency Preparedness and Response Requirements
- What do the Federal and State requirements say?
- Emergency evac kits, appropriate way to exit facility; training on plan and disconnection
- Patient Education: How to Connect with ESRD During Emergency
- Facility Continuity of Operations Plan - back-up communications, staff, leadership, decision making in emergencies
- Drill/exercise cadence
- Agreements with alternate facilities for contingency plans, transportation
Review Survey Protocol
- Protocol during recertification surveys.
- What does a survey look like - what is reviewed, what is requested? -
1:40 - 2:00 PM Network 15 and Emergency Response
2:00-2:30 PM State Response (System of Support)
- Review Emergency Diagram
- HFEMSD Notification of Emergency
- Collaboration with OEPR for medical emergencies
- Local/regional/state level response
- Guidance for response plan State response processes: Build your plans, ask for TA, have a plan on how to communicate up and know how you will get communications from higher levels Outline response expectations.
