Please join us for our third year of the Colorado Antimicrobial Stewardship Endeavor (CASE)! Register here for the first workshop on November 17th from 12-1 PM.   The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) are here to help you develop your antimicrobial stewardship program! Using feedback from antimicrobial stewardship programs across the state, we built CASE to help you take your programs to the next level.   Who we are: Physicians, pharmacists, and epidemiologists from the Antimicrobial Stewardship team at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and the Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance program at CDPHE with experience creating and maintaining effective antimicrobial stewardship programs that meet CDC’s Core Elements of Antibiotic Stewardship.   Who should participate and why: Antimicrobial stewards at acute care and critical access hospitals in Colorado. Participation is voluntary and at no cost. The goal of this quality improvement initiative is to promote ongoing collaboration and facilitate the development of robust antimicrobial stewardship across Colorado for adult and pediatric patients. Include CASE in your quality management program!   What is involved: We invite you to join four virtual workshops focused on topics such as reporting antibiotic use and resistance data, guideline adherence and interventions, and multidisciplinary approaches to stewardship. You will also be able to schedule one-on-one consultations with practicing stewards, physicians, and pharmacist experts.   When: Virtual workshops will take place from November 2023 - July 2024. One-on-one consultations will be scheduled as facilities request them.   Workshop 1: November 17, 2023 noon - 1 p.m. MST   Next steps: Register online. Once registered, you will receive more information about the first workshop.
