To: Facility infection preventionists at acute care hospitals, critical access hospitals, Long-term acute hospitals, From: Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) program Non-ventilator-associated hospital-acquired pneumonia (NVHAP) is an important healthcare-associated infection. Currently, there are no national standards or requirements for surveillance or prevention. The Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) program at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) would like to assess the importance, extent of existing surveillance, and type of interventions in use to prevent NVHAP in hospitals. The information you provide will not be shared with regulatory partners or used for regulation. Rather, CDPHE may use this information to develop prevention efforts in the future.
Take five minutes to fill out this brief survey at https://cdphe.redcap.state.co.us/surveys/?s=4CJANDRATC37FX47 to help us better understand NVHAP in Colorado. We recommend that a person responsible for infection prevention in the hospital complete the survey and gather input from your quality program or other relevant programs as needed. The deadline for completion is November 14th 2022. If you have questions, email reed.hranac@state.co.us.
