Hello, The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (the Department) is proposing changes to 6 CCR 1009-5 Preparations For A Bioterrorist Event, Pandemic Influenza, Or An Outbreak By A Novel And Highly Fatal Infectious Agent Or Biological Toxin. The Department is scheduled to go before the Board of Health on April 19, 2023, for a rulemaking hearing to make permanent the changes to rules that were promulgated via emergency rulemaking on Feb. 15, 2023. Those emergency rules: - Transferred rules related to the definition and reporting of staffed-bed capacity from CDPHE’s Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division rule into 6 CCR 1009-5.
- Moved provisions of Public Health Order 20-38 regarding the reporting of bed capacity into 6 CCR 1009-5.
-
Since the emergency rulemaking, the Department has carefully continued to evaluate the rule language and sought feedback from stakeholders. The rule language we intend to present to the Board of Health is attached. If you have any questions, or if you wish to provide feedback about this rulemaking, email cdphe_dcphr_rulemaking@state.co.us. Information about Board of Health meetings, including the agenda, Zoom link, and directions for submitting written testimony, are on the Colorado Board of Health webpage. Email questions about the Board of Health meeting to cdphe.bohrequests@state.co.us. Thank you for your time and consideration. |
