March 23, 2023--Stakeholder meeting for updates to 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 7 (ALR) due to Senate Bill 22-154 (ALR Safety)

 

To: All Stakeholders interested in regulations related to Assisted Living Residences From: HFEMSD You are invited to participate in the stakeholder process to review and update 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 7 – Assisted Living Residences, related to new statutory requirements put in place by Senate Bill 22-154. For reference, Senate Bill 22-154, concerning increasing safety in assisted living residences, was signed by Governor Polis in June 2022, modifying statutes around administrator qualifications, notices and processes around involuntary discharges, and the assessment of fines.  The next stakeholder meeting will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually, via zoom, to ensure equal access for participation, regardless of the geographic location of the attendees.  Meetings are open to the public, and all interested parties are invited to attend and participate. Meeting documents, including agendas, proposed rule language, presentations, etc., will be posted to the public meeting folder no later than a week before each meeting.  Please note that the meeting topic schedule, as presented in August 2022, was updated to incorporate a discussion of potential changes to Part 8.7 regarding staff with CPR training to ensure a better understanding of requirements. Discussion regarding that standard was included in the February stakeholder meeting, and we will be finalizing that language in March, in addition to the planned topics previously included on the topic agenda (introducing proposed rule language regarding fines).
