EMResource COVID-19 vaccination-related question updates

To: Long-term and residential care facilities (skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, intermediate care facilities, and group homes)

From: Residential Care Strike Team

Long-term and residential care facilities (skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, intermediate care facilities, and group homes) are still subject to the requirements of Public Health Order 20-20 and the

RCF Comprehensive Mitigation Guidance document.

These requirements include answering all questions in the EMResource/Juvare reporting system as outlined below:

  • Reporting periods are twice monthly.
  • The first report shall occur during reporting period one, defined as the first (1st) day through the fourteenth (14th) day of the month.
  • The second report shall occur during reporting period two, defined as the fifteenth (15th) day through the last day of the month.
  • However, facilities are required to report resident and staff vaccine doses into EMResource/Juvare weekly and as soon as possible after COVID-19 vaccine clinics are completed.

Read this message regarding Chapter 2 COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Part 12 of 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 2 related to COVID-19 vaccination expired July 14, 2022, including the associated obligation to report to Colorado Health Facilities Interactive (COHFI) on a twice-monthly basis. Staff COVID-19 vaccination-related questions have been added to the EMResource/Juvare reporting system and should be updated weekly:

  • Current Staff - new question

Definition: Total number of staff currently at your facility.

  • Up-to-Date Staff - current question, no change

Definition: The total number of staff who are up to date includes all staff currently at your facility who have received all COVID-19 vaccine doses in the primary series and all booster doses recommended for them, when eligible. You are also considered up to date if:

1. You have completed your primary series, but are not yet eligible for a booster;

2. You have received one booster, but are not recommended to get a second booster, or;

3. You have received one booster, but are not yet eligible for a second booster. Stay up to date by getting all recommended boosters when you are eligible. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html

  • Not Up-to-Date Staff - new question

Definition: The total number of staff currently at your facility who have received any dose(s) of a COVID-19 vaccine, but are not up to date with all recommended COVID-19 vaccinations they are eligible to receive. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/covid-19-vaccines-us.html#booster-dose

  • Not Vaccinated Staff - new question

Definition: The total number of staff who have not been vaccinated with any doses of any COVID-19 vaccine.

Additionally, the following resident COVID-19 vaccination-related question has been updated:

  • Not Up to Date Residents - question change from partially vaccinated residents; however, definition has not changed

Definition: The total number of residents currently at your facility who have received any dose(s) of a COVID-19 vaccine, but are not up to date with all recommended COVID-19 vaccinations they are eligible to receive. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/covid-19-vaccines-us.html#booster-dose
