Monkeypox Infection Control Guidance for Outpatient Settings

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, is closely tracking cases of monkeypox that have been recently reported in several countries that do not normally have monkeypox activity, including the United States. As part of the response, CDC updated their guidance for Infection Prevention and Control of Monkeypox in Healthcare Settings.

Please see CDPHE’s supplemental Monkeypox Infection Control Guidance for Outpatient Settings and share with appropriate providers in outpatient, urgent, and emergent care settings, including sexually transmitted infection testing centers and clinics. Find additional information on the CDPHE website: https://cdphe.colorado.gov/monkeypox.
