We have updated our
long-term care vaccine clinic toolkit. You can continue to stay up to date with the latest vaccine information/resources in the toolkit by referencing the
last updated date in the top right corner of the document.
Summary of Recent Changes:
- People who previously received antibody products (anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma) as part of COVID-19 treatment, post-exposure prophylaxis, or pre-exposure prophylaxis can be vaccinated at any time; COVID-19 vaccination does not need to be delayed following receipt of monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma.
- New data on people in Colorado who have received third doses (boosters) are 12 times less likely to be hospitalized for COVID-19 compared to unvaccinated people, and four times less likely to be hospitalized than those who have been vaccinated, but have not yet received a third dose (booster).
- Immunocompromised persons 12 or older should get a fourth dose (booster) of either Pfizer or Moderna three months after your third dose for a total of four doses. The recommended interval between the additional primary dose and fourth dose (booster) has changed from five months to three months.
- Immunocompromised persons that received Johnson & Johnson/J&J vaccine as your primary series, you’ll need an additional primary dose for full protection. You should get a dose of mRNA vaccine 28 days after your primary series dose. You should then get a third dose (booster) of COVID-19 vaccine two months after your second dose, for a total of three doses. An mRNA vaccine is preferred for the booster dose. New guidance for immunocompromised persons who received the Johnson & Johnson/J&J vaccine primary series to receive an additional dose and a booster dose, for a total of 3 doses to be up to date.
- New section, Get Vaccinated and Stay Up to Date with your COVID-19 Vaccines.
- Updated Moderna and Pfizer approval letter(s).
