BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card Product Expiry Update

 

If you received testing kits from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment since November 1, 2021, it is likely that the expiration date for the kits you received has been extended by the manufacturer (Abbott). Shelf-life for many Abbott BinaxNOW AG card kits (known as Binax Professional and/or Bulk Binax) has been extended for as many as 15 months past the original manufacturing date.    Please be sure to carefully review the lot number and expiration date on the back of each of the Abbott Binax Professional boxes you have at your facility and use the attached letter to confirm an extension to the expiration date. To view Abbott’s Letter of Extension, click here.   Please continue to use the Point of Care order form if you need an additional seven-day supply.     Sincerely,    COVID-19 Point of Care Testing Team, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment  cdphe_covidtesting@state.co.us
