Starting January 1, 2022, the Notice of Admission (NOA) for Home Health Agencies (HHAs) will go into effect. Is your EMR system ready for the cross-over period? If your EMR system will not be ready for the cross-over period, your agency will be required to key the NOAs directly into the Direct Data Entry (DDE) system. Below is a link to a job aid that provides details of keying the NOA into the DDE, developed by CGS, NGS, and Palmetto GBA:
As a HHA, it is imperative to determine if your EMR system will be ready and/or if someone within your agency has a valid, active password for and can access the DDE system. There will NOT be a grace period nor will there be exceptions granted for NOAs not submitted due to an inability to enter data due to an EMR issue or lack of access.
