Certified Nursing Assistant Medication Aides Survey

 

To: Residential care facilities (Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Group Homes, and Intermediate Care Facilities)   From: Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy & Financing and Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies   As part of the State’s efforts to support clients and the workers who care for them, we need your help answering a 3-minute survey related to Certified Nursing Assistant Medication Aides (CNA-Meds). A CNA-Med is a CNA whose additional training qualifies them to administer medication to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse with an active Colorado or multi-state nursing license.   This survey aims to understand what the employer community knows about the CNA-Med licensure, and what barriers there are to utilizing CNAs in this role. Your responses will help inform the State about ways to advance opportunities for direct care workers to attain the CNA-Med certification, and for agencies to have this additional flexibility to serve your clients.   The link to the survey is here and we ask that you complete it by May 14.
