Surveillance Testing Time of Collection Requirement

 

To: Residential care facilities (Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Group Homes, and Intermediate Care Facilities)   From: CDPHE Lab Coordination Group   Thank you for continuing to support the safety and health of your community by providing surveillance testing. Please note a new requirement for submitting samples to your lab:    Time of collection is a required field - If you send samples to the state lab, please begin writing the collection time on the sample tube. Don't forget to indicate A.M. or P.M. If we do not have a collection time written on the tube, we will have to call and get this information before we can proceed with processing, which will delay turnaround time on results. Alternatively, if you are using the CDPHE Test Ordering System (CTOS) to submit data, the option will be available beginning Tuesday, March 13, 2021, to include the collection time.
