The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid has issued two letters regarding compliance with the training and testing requirements in the Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare & Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers Final Rule:
- CMS clarifies that all providers will be expected to have completed the "exercises" in the training and testing requirements by the implementation date, which is November 15, 2017. Read more about this in Survey & Certification Letter 17-21.
- CMS will hold a learning session to discuss the requirements for meeting the training and testing requirements in the emergency preparedness final rule during a national provider call on April 27, 2017 from 12:30-1:30 Mountain Time.
