House Bill 16-1424 changed portions of the statute that pertain to the administration of medications in facilities that are allowed to use qualified medication administration personnel (QMAPs). The Division is amending its Chapter 24 regulations in order to align with the statutory changes.
The Division has made some additional changes to the proposed amendments based upon feedback received from the Office of the Attorney General and stakeholders. The final version of the amendments may be viewed at: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdphe/draft-regulations
The Board of Health will be conducting a public hearing in Building A of the Department’s Cherry Creek campus on April 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. regarding adoption of the proposed changes.
