CDPHE will be implementing some procedural changes in the desk revisit process, specifically, in regards to how to submit documentation via email while ensuring HIPAA compliance standards are maintained. In the posted memorandum of understanding, you will find additional details regarding these procedural changes as well as an instructional guide providing step by step instructions on the new process. The memo and procedures "HIPAA Compliance when submitting records" can be found on our website in the "Policies, guidelines and publications" section. Providers are required to follow this new procedure when submitting documentation through email.
