A Colorado District Court has ordered the Board of Health to adopt amendments to
the Department's Chapter II regulations regarding patient record copy costs that
more closely align with the federal requirements under the Health Care
Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). You may review the language of the proposed amendment
