To: Assisted Living Providers and Consumers of Assisted Living Services From: Sarah Peterson and Jane Flournoy, ALR Section, Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Service Division, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Last fall the Assisted Living Advisory Committee (ALAC) established goals for the 2024 year. This April 2024, during the Assisted Living Advisory Committee meeting, the Department presented two tools to help Assisted Living Residences (ALRs) with survey preparedness. The first tool is the Assisted Living Residence Policy and Procedure Guidance Document. This document was created to provide technical assistance to ALRs when developing policies and procedures.
The second tool is the ALR Survey Preparedness Checklist. The checklist is a document to help prepare ALRs on the commonly requested items during a re-licensure survey inspection.
