We are combatting the growing threat of antibiotic resistance and asking our healthcare partners to Be Antibiotic Aware and improve antibiotic prescribing and use.
During U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week, Nov. 18 to 24, we are kicking off our Antibiotic Awareness Initiative 2020 by sending letters to the top 10% of antibiotic prescribers among Colorado family physicians, internists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, and emergency medicine physicians. The letters will include actions prescribers can take to improve antibiotic prescribing and use and will direct them to helpful resources.
Learn more about the department’s Antibiotic Awareness Initiative 2020 and help us improve the way healthcare professionals prescribe antibiotics, keep patients healthy, and fight antibiotic resistance. |
