Save the Date: Stakeholder Process for Nursing Home Licensing General Rule Updates

 

To: Nursing Home providers and all parties interested in the stakeholder process to update 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 5 - Nursing Care Facilities From: HFEMSD  The Department is excited to announce that it will be convening a stakeholder process to review, reorganize, and update 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 5 - Nursing Care Facilities. This stakeholder process will involve review of proposed chapter-wide rule updates and restructuring.  Stakeholder meetings are currently planned for the first Wednesday of the month from August 2025 through April 2026 for a total of nine meetings. Participants are invited to attend meetings either in-person at the Department or online via Zoom. The first stakeholder meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.  If you are interested in participating in the stakeholder process to update Chapter 5, please sign-up to receive notice of each meeting and other important information. Please feel free to share this link with other interested parties. Notice of each meeting will be emailed directly to interested parties and sent via the Division’s portal messaging system roughly one to two weeks before each meeting. Meeting details, including agendas and and proposed rule language, will be available before each meeting in the public Google folder dedicated to this rulemaking.  Future meetings are currently planned for: August 6, 2025 September 3, 2025 October 1, 2025 November 5, 2025 December 3, 2025 January 7, 2026 February 4, 2026 March 4, 2026 April 1, 2026 Additional information, including a full timeline of the process, meeting locations, and virtual meeting links, as well as topics expected to be covered at each meeting, will be sent roughly one month prior to the beginning of the stakeholder process.
