Hospice General Rule Updates Stakeholder Meeting—May 28, 2025

 

To: Hospice providers and all parties interested in the stakeholder process to update 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 21 - Hospices You are invited to participate in the stakeholder process to review, revise, and update 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 21 - Hospices. This stakeholder process will involve discussing and receiving feedback about identified changes and proposed rule language. The proposed chapter-wide updates will incorporate CMS requirements, state statutory changes, federal regulations on emergency preparedness, and the hospice model of care.  Stakeholder engagement is integral to the Department’s effort to align Chapter 21 with hospice care and service delivery in Colorado and protect the health, safety, and welfare of hospice patients. Stakeholder meetings are currently planned for the fourth Wednesday of the month from January through June for a total of six meetings. The fifth stakeholder meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Please note that meetings have been extended by an additional 30 minutes in order to cover all planned topics and accommodate stakeholder discussion. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate in the stakeholder meetings.
