Exciting Opportunity for Colorado Nursing Homes to Participate in New Grant Funded by NH Innovations Board

Announcing an exciting opportunity for all Colorado Nursing homes to participate in a new grant funded by the Nursing Home Innovations Board. Join other nursing home teams to collaborate in developing an enriched and inspiring approach to Community Meetings, honoring person-centered care.

Beth Irtz, Barry Barkan, Jeff Jerebker, and Carman Bowman are collaborating on this program. Three nursing homes will be selected for the grant to include education, on-site visits, peer-to-peer webinars, and an evaluation. Training and education will start on October 24 and 25, 2022.

The Live Oak Regenerative Community Description of Live Oak Regenerative Community Program 8.3.22 is a living culture that meets homes wherever they are on the culture change journey and provides teachings, structure, roles, and a way of learning and growing that supports the continuing process of transformation in any environment in which elders and people living with disabilities are served and supported.  The culture goes a long way in providing an antidote to the institutional depression which has been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic and the resulting isolation, staff shortages, and chronically low morale among residents and all levels of staff.

The Live Oak Regenerative Community in Colorado will support participating homes in creating a center of positive energy among the resident community that reverberates throughout the home and boosts morale among staff, residents, and family members.  While they can’t promise you an end to your staffing problems, their expectation based on experience is that there will be a significant improvement in resident health and well-being and in staff morale.  Indeed, your staff members may even become your best recruiters, reaching out to their friends to join them at the very special place in which they are working. For more information, please review this flyer.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity! This will re-energize your staff and engage residents in ways you can’t imagine.  Bring this exceptional approach to person-centered living to your community.

Contact Beth Irtz of Focus Consultation, LLC at elizabeth.irtz@gmail.com or text or call 303-495-4805 no later than Wednesday, October 5th, for an application and additional information.
