Assisted Living Senate Bill 22-154 Stakeholder and ALAC Meetings

Dear ALAC Members and Interested Parties,

As most of you know, the passage of Senate Bill 22-154, which modifies the law related to ALRs in three areas, requires that the ALR rules be updated. We are in the process of beginning the public stakeholder process for that work.

Since the process has a relatively short timeline and since the ALAC is so important to this process, the department made the decision to forgo the previously scheduled quarterly meetings with ALAC and to schedule monthly meetings in its place.

The monthly meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of every month, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The last meeting will take place in May 2023. There will be NO separate ALAC meetings during this time.

This means that you will be invited to a meeting on the fourth Thursday of each month, from September 2022 through May 2023. Again, there will be NO separate ALAC meetings during this time. The proposed rules will be presented to the ALAC in June 2023.

An invitation for the first meeting on Sept. 22, 1:30-4:30 p.m., will be arriving shortly under separate cover.

All stakeholder meetings are open to the public and all interested parties are welcome to attend and provide input. Additionally, all stakeholders, regardless of whether they are able to attend the meetings, may provide input throughout the stakeholder process and are always welcome to submit written comments to the Department.

If you have any questions about this temporary change in ALAC's schedule, please contact Linda.Buuck@state.co.us
