New Healthcare-Associated Infections Reportable Conditions

 

TO: Colorado Ambulatory Surgery Centers   FROM: Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE)   On May 24, 2022, the Colorado Healthcare-Associated Infections Advisory Committee voted unanimously to remove surgical site infections associated with abdominal hysterectomies and vaginal hysterectomies in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) from the Healthcare-Associated Infections reportable conditions list. ASCs will no longer have to report abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies to Colorado via the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Please log into your NHSN account to accept the new confer right template.
