Free Art Engagement Opportunity for Certified Nursing Homes funded by Civil Money Penalty (CMP) funds

To: All Colorado Certified Nursing Facilities

From: Jo Tansey, Acute Care and Nursing Facilities Branch Chief

In March 2022, SilverKite Community Arts was awarded a CMP grant in the state of Colorado which is currently serving 18 SNFs across the state.

This grant program has two components, both focused on providing arts engagement opportunities to residents. The program:

  1. Provides FREE individual arts activity toolkits (SPARK Boxes - www.silverkite.us/sparkboxes) to SNF residents. SPARK Boxes are individual arts engagement toolkits that contain high quality supplies, instructions, and ideas to SPARK conversation, connection, and fun! Each box contains everything you need to complete 14+ simple art projects in a variety of art forms.
  2. FREE access to live and recorded online arts workshops (approximately once weekly). The workshops are available to all certified nursing homes for the duration of the grant. To see recordings of past workshops, please visit: www.silverkite.us/cosnf and use the password: Colorado

For more information or to inquire about participating in the grant contact Jen Kulik at jen@silverkite.us.

This opportunity is paid for through a grant from the Nursing Home Innovations Grant Board using CMP funds.
