Residential Care Strike Team Update

To: Residential Care Facilities

From: Residential Care Strike Team

Dear residential care facilities,

I am writing to let you know that effective May 9, 2022, I will no longer lead the Residential Care Strike Team. I began the Residential Care Strike Team Branch Chief position in August 2020 and have been fortunate to form a team of professionals who have supported Colorado’s residential care facilities through the COVID-19 pandemic. Those professionals will continue to support you after my departure, as the health and safety of residents continues to be our highest priority. The Residential Care Strike Team will continue to work with residential care facilities to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on residents and staff.

You can continue to connect with the Residential Care Strike Team via email (residentialcarestriketeam@state.co.us), the twice-monthly newsletter, and the twice-monthly residential and long-term care facility call. It has been my pleasure to work alongside you all to safeguard residents and adapt to continual changes throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Your cooperation and partnership d has truly saved lives and is much appreciated. I am not leaving the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and will continue to help through this transition. Thank you again for all of your hard work that you do in the community.

Peter
