No Surprises Act (NSA) Stakeholder Meeting Monday 2/7/2022

 

To: All Health Facilities   From: Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)   As many of you know, the Division of Insurance is working on a bill with Majority Leader Esgar to align our state law on surprise bills with the federal No Surprises Act (NSA), which went into effect on January 1, 2022. We are having a stakeholder meeting regarding this legislation to align Colorado law with the federal NSA next week. The meeting will focus on key provisions of the draft bill; we hope to be able to share a draft with you before that meeting. We would like to hear questions and suggestions from stakeholders regarding the legislation and how best to provide consistency and simplicity for consumers, providers, and carriers in implementing the out-of-network laws.
