With the addition of the below vaccination-related questions in EMResource on January 10, 2022, the Residential Care Strike Team wants to provide additional clarification on these new data points.
Current residents eligible for third doses
The number of residents entered here should include residents eligible for third doses in addition to the residents who have already received a third dose. By definition, the number of Current Residents Eligible for Third Doses should always be greater than or equal to the Additional Dose or Third Dose for Residents.
Residents not eligible for a third dose are:
- Residents who are partially vaccinated.
- Residents awaiting the five-month interval between their second and third Pfizer or Moderna vaccine dose (mRNA) and the two-month interval after their first Johnson & Johnson (J&J) dose.
- Residents with known current SARS-CoV-2 infection. These residents should wait until recovery from acute illness and criteria to discontinue isolation have been met.
Residents who received passive antibody products (anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma) for COVID-19 treatment should defer vaccination for 90 days and for post-exposure prophylaxis should defer vaccination for 30 days.
