Long Term Care Facility Educational Seminar on Respiratory Tract Infection Outbreaks

 

To: Long Term Care Facility (LTCF) staff involved in infection prevention, including directors and assistant directors of nursing, infection preventionist, etc. From: CDPHE Division of Disease Control and Public Health Response, Healthcare-Associated Infections/Antimicrobial Resistance Program Please join the CDPHE’s HAI/AMR team for an educational presentation on respiratory tract infection (RTI) outbreak management and prevention. This presentation addresses pathogens other than COVID which can cause RTI outbreaks, including human metapneumovirus, mycoplasma pneumoniae, and streptococcus pneumoniae. The presentation will review signs and symptoms, treatment, prevention, surveillance trends, and case studies from previous outbreaks. The presentation will be on December 16, 2021, from 10 – 11 am MST.
