The Department is beginning the stakeholder process this September for the regulatory development of Secure Transportation for an individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This process satisfies two mandates: 1) the statutory requirement to routinely review and update our regulations; and 2) a response to HB 21-1085 which requires the Department to develop minimum standards for Secure Transportation providers, which the counties will then enforce through licensing.
The stakeholder meeting schedule and detailed information regarding the rule revision process can be accessed at this link. Please forward this information to any other individuals who may be interested in participating in this rule development process.
