Colorado HAI Advisory Committee Meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2021

TO: Hospitals in Colorado   FROM: Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE)   The HAI Advisory Committee and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) would like to invite stakeholders to the next HAI Advisory Committee meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 2-4 pm via Zoom.   The HAI Advisory Committee will be discussing the report of catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infection data from the National Healthcare Safety Network. CDPHE currently collects these data according to Board of Health rules, but the data are not included in the HAI Annual Report. The questions before the HAI Advisory Committee include:  Should CDPHE report CAUTI in the Annual Report?  Should CDPHE report MRSA bacteremia in the Annual Report?   If you would like to join the meeting, please email Lynda Saignaphone at lynda.saignaphone@state.co.us for information.
