To: Hospitals (all types)
From: Sharing resources from ACEP (American College of Emergency Physicians)
As part of the continued COVID-19 national pandemic response, the White House will be hosting a town hall tomorrow afternoon entitled "Primary Care Providers, Health Systems, and the Next Phase of the Vaccination Rollout.” The town hall will discuss innovative approaches to patient outreach and vaccine programs with moderators Dr. Walensky, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Vivek Murthy, Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, and Dr. Bechara Choucair. Read the full White House invitation here.
We hope you can listen in to "Primary Care Providers, Health Systems, and the Next Phase of the Vaccination Rollout," which will be live-streamed from 3-4 pm ET, Friday, June 11 on YouTube (1-2 pm MST, Friday, June 11).
In other efforts, if you are interested in starting a vaccination program in your emergency department, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) has some other great resources to consider:
Reach Vaccine-Hesitant Populations with New ACEP Tools
For emergency physicians who may encounter patients and family members who are vaccine-hesitant, ACEP has developed some resources to help you begin a dialogue.
ACEP’s Diversity and Inclusion Section created a poster to place in your waiting areas that encourages talking to the emergency physicians about any vaccine-related questions and includes a QR code to the national vaccine finder.
They have also created a flyer for you to share with patients and family members that directly addresses some common concerns and questions held by those who are hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
