BOIL WATER ADVISORY ISSUED FOR CASTLE PINES, ZIP CODE 80108

To: Administrators and Directors   From: Greg Schlosser, Branch Chief, Health Facility Quality & Education Branch   The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment-Water Quality Control Division has Issued a "Boil Water Advisory" to the users of the public water system in Castle Pines in Douglas County, Colorado. This "Boil Water Advisory" is required as a measure to protect public health due to a loss of pressure to the System due to an operational issue. Loss of pressure may allow disease-causing organisms to enter the water system.   The system serves 9800 customers and lost pressure to a large portion of their distribution system late on 6/8 due to multiple equipment malfunctions.
