From: Residential Care Strike Team
On April 16, 2021, the COVID-19 Dial Data Dashboard evolved into a new statewide public health order allowing for more flexibility at the local level. For residential facility staff and residents, it is important to remember that the risk of COVID-19 is still present. The Strike Team encourages all residents and staff members to continue to exercise caution with social gatherings and any other potential risk to the health and safety of residents in residential care settings. Continue with prevention measures such as mask-wearing and physical distancing.
The Strike Team would like to remind facilities that the COVID-19 Dial Data Dashboard is still available to help facilities determine their two-week positivity rates.
The two-week positivity rate continues to determine visitation and testing requirements. As a reminder, facilities are required to perform testing for staff and residents that leave the building on a weekly basis. Facilities in counties that have a two-week positivity rate over 10% must increase that testing to twice weekly.
Facilities who reside in a county with over 10% may not allow visitation for unvaccinated residents when the facility’s resident vaccination rate is under 70%.
