New CMS Visitation Recommendations

 

To: Residential care facilities (Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Group Homes, and Intermediate Care Facilities)   From: HFEMS Residential Care Strike Team   On March 10th the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) updated visitation recommendations for skilled nursing facilities.   CDPHE is currently reviewing these recommendations and will work to ensure there are consistent visitation recommendations across all residential care facilities.   We echo federal officials in emphasizing the importance of maintaining infection prevention practices, given the continued risk of COVID-19 transmission.   Please stay tuned in the coming days for updates and direction.   As always, questions can be directed to residentialcarestriketeam@state.co.us
