The CDPHE staff continue to review facility plans in response to the Public Health Order 20-20. The initial plan review assesses the adequacy and responsiveness of each facility plan. Facilities that submitted plans that are either incomplete or do not fully address the elements required are provided may receive technical assistance and/or additional guidance. The plans may also be used as part of future inspections related to infection control.

As the facility isolation plans are public record, they have been made available online at https://covid19.colorado.gov/prevention-response-plans.

Each of the isolation plans available for viewing may not reflect the facility’s current approach to COVID-19 infection control practices, as facilities are expected to implement changes as new guidance and best practices continue to evolve during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently, CDPHE staff are reviewing the plans for personally identifiable information (PII) and redacting resident, staff, and visitor identifiers. Plans that the PII review has not been completed are marked “Under Review.” These reviews are conducted daily, so please check the website regularly for updates. Plans that have completed reviews contain a Google Drive link where the plan can be viewed.

Posting the facility isolation plans online intends to educate and inform the public and local public health partners about facility practices while also protecting those residents who live at these facilities. Through this process, the department hopes to identify areas of need and assist facilities through outreach, technical assistance, and the regulatory inspection process.
