Applications are being accepted for the Assisted Living Advisory Committee

The department is seeking applicants (providers, stakeholders, consumers and representatives) to be appointed to serve on the Assisted Living Advisory Committee. 

This committee represents providers and consumers of assisted living residential services, the Colorado Commission on the Aging, county, district, or municipal public health agencies or local boards of health, and consumer and other agencies and organizations providing service to or concerned with residents of assisted living residences.

The purpose of the committee is to hear and make recommendations to the Department and State Board of Health concerning assisted living licensing standards and rules, guidance documents and general assisted living facility information. The commitment requirement entails a two-year term of service. The time commitment can vary, but on an average will be between 2-4 hours a month with meetings held on a monthly basis.
