CDPHE Annual Healthcare-Associated Infections Disclosure Report: Update for Facilities Reporting in to NHSN
CDPHE will be releasing the annual Healthcare-Associated Infections Disclosure Report as required by C.R.S. 25-3-601 on July 15, 2018. Please note that the timeframe for the annual report is different this year. In previous years, the report has been published in January using data from 3 previous years, each year August through July. This year, the report will contain data from 3 previous calendar years: 2015, 2016, and 2017.
In preparation for this report, CDPHE requests that each facility reporting to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) check the following by Feb. 28, 2018: (1) ensure that your facility has accepted the most recent template to confer rights to CDPHE; (2) run a missing data report within NHSN for the years 2015, 2016, and 2017 and correct any errors; (3) run a data quality check within NHSN for the years 2015, 2016, and 2017 and correct any errors. CDPHE will be running these same reports in March and will reach out to facilities where reports detect errors.
CDPHE will extract the data from NHSN for the annual report on April 2, 2018. Please ensure that your data for reportable conditions is entered, up-to-date, and correct by April 1, 2018.
