Statement of Compliance Notifications

On 09/01/2017, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued Survey and Certification (S&C) memorandum 17-27-ALL regarding issuance of survey results following a revisit. In response to this memo, CDPHE-HFEMS will be making some procedural changes regarding how and in what format a statement of compliance notification will be issued to nursing facilities following a revisit survey.

Currently, nursing facilities receive both a compliance letter and a copy of the 2567b document upon completion of the revisits for both the health and life safety code surveys that establish compliance. Under the revised process, facilities will no longer receive a compliance letter, but will instead be issued a CMS Form 2567 Statement of Deficiencies that will include a statement of compliance, one for the health survey and one for the life safety code survey. These forms will be sent via email to the web portal administrator email account and the facility administrator email address, if one is on file. Additionally, a copy of the CMS Form 2567b will no longer be issued to the facility as stipulated by S&C 17-27-ALL.

If there are any questions regarding these process changes, please direct those questions to Greg Wright, Licensing and Certification Supervisor, at 303-692-2813 or greg.wright@state.co.us
