Recruiting an ASC representative for State Healthcare Associated Infections Advisory Committee


The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is responsible for implementing the HAI Disclosure Law. The law is implemented with the guidance of an 11-member volunteer advisory committee, the Colorado HAI Advisory Committee. Currently, the committee has an opening for an ASC representative.

The ASC representative is a critical committee role. This person will be the voice of ASCs and consumers and participate in committee discussions related to ASC issues and needs in reducing surgical site infections.   

The committee’s mission is to provide oversight of Colorado’s legally required HAI reporting to ensure accountability and improvement of patient care through education, data validation and selection of reporting requirements. The committee typically meets 8 to 10 times each year on the 4th Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at CDPHE in Denver.

We invite interested persons with expertise/experience in infection control in the ASC setting to apply for this position. The department hopes to fill the position immediately but will keep applications on file after it has been filled.
