On January 13, 2017, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a memorandum reminding providers and suppliers to keep current with best practices regarding mitigation of cyber security attacks. In the memorandum, CMS outlined resources to assist agencies in their reviews of their cyber security and information technology programs.
