Starting in November 2014, the Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will initiate a regulation review and draft revisions to 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter 5, Long Term Care Facilities. It has been a number of years since this licensing regulation has been undergone a substantive review. Stakeholder participation and input during the regulation review process is critical in order to achieve a quality outcome that serves the needs of the residents in long term care facilities.
September 2015 is the targeted month for presenting the revised rule to the Board of Health for approval. Monthly working sessions will be necessary in order to achieve this goal. Following the initial meeting in November, a schedule will be released to identify when the various sections of the rule will be reviewed.
Except for November, meeting will take place on the second Tuesday of the month from 1 pm-3 pm in conference room C1D on the CDPHE campus. Please see below for scheduled meeting dates. Teleconferencing participation will be available.
