The Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division of the Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment have made Quality Management Program
presentation materials available to home care agencies.
From September
through December 2013, the division offered numerous QMP presentations
throughout the state. The intent of the presentations was to orient home care
agency personnel to basic quality management principles and to communicate
department expectations for future license inspections.
The presentation
material, guidance documents and written exercises used during the presentations
are now available for download. As stated during each presentation, the quality
management model and terminology employed for training purposes was simple and
introductory; not intended to be the definitive expectation for how agencies
were to structure their QMP activities. Agencies are encouraged to employ the
models and terminology most applicable and effective to their agencies.
