MDS 3.0 TRAINING *FREE*
The Spring Schedule for AMD/RAI 3.0 Training is set.
Denver and Grand Junction are scheduled for March, with Ft. Collins and Pueblo
scheduled for April. There is also a class scheduled for May for those new to
this process. So register for your favorite venue.
To register:

2. Click on certification.

Click on MDS/OASIS.
4. Click on Mds Training and Resources.
5. Click on
MDS 3.0 online registration and sign up for the class of your
choice.
ICD-10 IS COMING!
The initial information is becoming
available for ICD-10.Check for it on the CMS website. Some of the highlights
are:
1. ICD-10 will begin on October 1, 2014.
2. It will affect everyone
covered by HIPAA.
3. ICD-10 codes must be used for health care services
provided on or after October 1, 2014.
4. Services provided prior to October
1, 2014 must use ICD-9 codes.
5. ICD-10 codes allow for greater specificity
and exactness in describing a patient’s diagnosis.
6. ICD-10 code sets are
available for free at:
a. 2013 ICD-10-CM and GEMS.
b. CMS ICD-10
website.
